Drawing from my experience, I pursued the concept of materialising mental barriers stemming from anxiety. Compositionally, soft materials achieved complex identity shifts through contouring and veiling of my central subject, the eyes. I worked hard materials like steel, enamel, and chain-work to encase the wearer creating insecure threatening state.
